How long can the USB cable be between the touch frame and the host computer?
The product includes a 2.5-meter USB cable. For distances up to 5 meters, you can use a standard USB extension cable. For distances between 5 and 15 meters, we recommend an active (powered) USB extension cable with a built-in amplifier and power adapter to ensure stable signal transmission. For distances over 15 meters, we suggest using USB-over-Ethernet extenders or network-based solutions. Please plan your cabling layout in advance for optimal performance.

The touch frame is powered directly through the USB connection. When the host device (such as a computer) is located nearby, USB power is supplied via the standard connection. The touch frame features a 26mm side width and 12mm thickness, and is typically secured using 1mm double-sided adhesive tape. For proper installation, ensure the surrounding surface of the display is either flush with or slightly raised above the display surface to maintain an unobstructed optical path.
Recommended mounting surfaces include tempered glass, aluminum extrusions, or stainless steel. If the surface is not adhesive-friendly, additional hardware reinforcement may be necessary. For cabinet-mounted displays, adjust the fixation method according to the cabinet’s design specifications.
How many installers are needed for touch frame installation?
The required crew size depends on the frame dimensions. Here are our professional guidelines:
1. Pre-Installation:
- Assemble and test the frame at ground level using the diagnostic tool touch.exe > HardwareTest menu (a green checkmark indicates passing status)
- Perform alignment verification before final adhesion
2. Team Configuration:
- Standard: 1 lead installer + 1 assistant per 2 meters
- Lead handles primary alignment and system verification
- Assistants support positioning and adjustments
